Parc Asterix

Päivän sitä ehti levätä tuon hienon reissun jäljiltä, kun taas mentiin. Nyt tosin oli vaan yhden päivän reissu ja sekin lähelle. Asterix teemapuistoon, aivan Pariisin ulkopuolelle. Lapsena olen paljon lukenut Asterixia ja kun Disneyssä pääsi vauhdin huumaan, piti tämäkin puisto käydä katsastamassa. Mielelläni olisin jäänyt nukkumaan, mutta ei auttanut kuin nousta. Puisto kun oli auki enää kaksi päivää ja näinä päivinä se oli vielä teemoitettu Halloweenin mukaan. Puisto olisi siis vielä normaalia hienompi. 

Puistoon pääsi aika helpolla. Ensin Rer CDG lentokentälle ja sieltä puiston omalla bussilla loput 15 km. Ja kun oli viikonloppu, pääsimme Navigolla ilmaiseksi kentälle asti. 

I got one day of rest after my trip when it was time to move again. Though now it was only one day trip just outside Paris, Parc Asterix. As a child I used to read Asterix every now and then and since I found the thrill of speed at Disney, I wanted to see this park too. I would've loved to stay in bed this weekend but the park was closing for the winter after the weekend so this was my last chance. And it was also themed to Halloween so it would be also nicer looking with haunted houses.

It was easy to get to the park. First take the Rer to CDG airport and from there the parcs own bus for the last 15 km. And it being a weekend, we got to ride Rer for free. 


Heti kun pääsi puistoon sisälle, tunnisti teeman. Se oli paljon hienompi kuin odotin. Kuten kylä niissä vanhoissa lapsuuden sarjakuvakirjoissa.

Right when you got in, you could see the theme. It was much nicer than I expected. Like in the comic books from my childhood. 

Puisto aukaisi ovensa vähän ennen kymmentä, mutta vain alkupäästä. Tässä päässä oli kaupat. Aivan fiksua sinänsä, kun ihmisillä on heti aamusta aikaa katsoa mahdollisia tuliaisia. En sitten tiedä ostaako joku pussillisen kannettavaksi heti saapuessaan. Tasan kymmeneltä sitten aukesivat loput portit ja väki syöksyi kohti laitteita.

The park opened its doors just before 10 am, but only for the area with stores. Smart move, now they made people wait in the middle of all these stores so they could check out the souvenirs as first thing they do. Though I don't know if anyone buys a bag to carry around for the day. At 10 am the gates were opened and people rushed for the rides.

Laitteet olivat aivan kivoja. Yksi vuoristorata oli ylitse muiden ja pääsimme sinne parin minuutin jonottamisella. Rata oli valtavan pitkä ja kisko meni yläpuolella niin, että jalat olivat ilmassa. Siihen olisi ollut mahtava päästä uudestaan, mutta kun myöhemmin jono oli venähtänyt siihen pariin tuntiin, niin päätimme jättää väliin. 

Muuten laitteet olivat erilaisia kuin Disneyssä. Kun Disneyssä laitteet ovat periaatteessa joko vuoristoratoja tai teemoitettuja rauhallisia ajeluja, täällä ne olivat "perinteisempiä" huvipuistolaitteita. Löytyi vuoristoratojen lisäksi Viikinkilaivaa ja Taikamattoa, ulkoasu vaan muokattuna. 

Rides were ok. One roller coaster was over others and we got in after only couple of minutes waiting. The ride was so long and there was nothing under your feet.  It would had been so nice to ride it again, but later the lines were two hours long, so we decided to pass. 

Otherwise the rides were really different from Disney. When as in Disney the rides are basically either roller coasters or themed easy rides, here they were these more "traditional" ones. In addition of roller coasters, they had the Viking boat and Magic Carpet, just a bit altered. 

Halloween näkyi hyvin. Puisto oli osaltaan todella hienosti koristeltu. Halloweenin aikaan puisto oli auki pidempään, iltamyöhään asti. Sinne oli myös rakennettu kolme ylimääräistä kummitustaloa. Tottahan niihinkin oli aivan valtavat jonot, kahta tuntia, joten parhaat jäivät väliin. Yhden pienimmällä jonolla katsoimme läpi. Ihan ok, mutta eipä siinä mitään kovin erityistä ollut. Käymisen arvoinen silti.

Paras oli moottorisahamurhaaja, joka kulki ovesta toiseen moottorisahan kanssa, pelotellen ihmisiä. Aivan loistava. Harmi vaan, että kun hän ei pahemmin pysähdellyt, niin kuva on sen mukainen. 

Halloween was seen nicely in the park. Decorations were pretty. During the Halloween the park was open later, till night. They had also built in three extra haunted houses. And of course they had huge lines in them, about two hours. So the best ones we passed. We really didn't feel that there was anything worth that wait. One house had a smaller line so that was our Halloween. It was ok, not special. But worth seeing. 

The best was a chainsaw murderer who walked between two doors with chainsaw, scaring people. He was perfect! Just too bad he didn't really stop so the picture came according to it. 

Puistossa oli myös Delfinaario, jossa katsoimme näytöksen. En oikein tiedä mitä ajatella näistä paikoista. Toisaalta näiden ihanien eläinten ei todellakaan ole tarkoitus elää pienessä altaassa. Mutta kyllähän ne taas toisaalta näyttivät nauttivan leikkimisestä. Ja samoin nauttivat kouluttajat. Ovat ne vaan fiksuja. Ja söpöjä.

There was also dolphins in the park and we went to see the show. I have mixed feeling about these places. On the other hand these marvelous animals are not supposed to live in this small pool. But on the other hand they did seem to enjoy playing around. And so did the trainers also. Dolphins are just so smart. And cute. 

Hahmoja oli näkyvissä lavasteissa monissa paikoin. Mutta muuten niitä jäi kaipaamaan. Vain yhdellä pienellä alueella oli joitain hahmoja. Ilmeisesti. Emme niitä päässeet näkemään. 

Characters were seen in the set but otherwise I was missing them. They were walking in this really small area. Apparently. We didn't get to see them.

Aika hyvä keksintö, tällä sain itseni myös kuivaksi, kun aurinko alkasi jo laskemaan ja ilma viilenemään.

A quite nice invention, I did use it also since the sun was setting down and it was getting cold.

 Päivä oli kyllä hauska, kiitos seuran ja laitteiden. Mutta myös väsyttävä tietysti. Ilma oli aivan täydellinen, aurinko paistoi koko päivän. Ja tähän aikaan vuodesta se ei enää polta, joten lämpötila oli juuri sopiva.

The day was fun, thanks to the company and rides. All of us were so tired after we left. The air was perfect, sun was shining the whole day. And this time of year it doesn't burn anymore so the temperature was just right.
